Amanda Coleman

I am a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Film, Media, and Social Justice. I minored in Journalism & New Media. After my graduation in Spring of 2016, I entered the professional world of acting. Ever since I have been cast for shows such as “Supreme Justice with Judge Karen” and films such as “No More Shots Fired”. Through local classes taught be accomplished talent, I continue to develop my craft. As someone who began acting from a young age, I have been cast for various school productions such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Streetcar Named Desire”. As someone who took voice lessons growing up and was a member of various choirs, I have a deep appreciation for music as well. I am a second soprano. My degree has enabled me to understand what transpires behind the camera as well as in front of it. I combined this understanding with my undying love for my second language – Japanese – as well as the Japanese culture to create the documentary “Japangeles” for my senior thesis ( YouTube ). I am a cosplayer and have been attending conventions such as Anime Expo since 2009. Ever since 2011, I have staffed for the local convention Anime Los Angeles. In addition to maintaining the Anime Los Angeles Tumblr account, I’m able to use my appreciation for technology and anime as a VDJ ( Video DJ ) for the convention.
